Requierments:
This guide does not tell you how to make a fancy LiveUSB that remembers your settings from time to time, this is a plain and simple LiveUSB that you can use to test the distribution and possibly install it. This is how you do it: Sudo apt-get install gpartedWhen this is completed it is wise to see where the flash drive is mounted on the system, you can see this in gParted, normally it is something like sdc1 or sdb1.Now, open the terminal and copy/paste the following: wget http://www.startx.ro/sugar/isotostick.shInsert the correct values where it says ubuntu-xxxx-something-something with the name of the image-file you download and /dev/sdX1 with the mount location of the flashdrive. It might give some errormessages but it is the finalmessage that is important The howto is fetched from Installation/FromUSBStick |
