Just after writing that post I found the module that has become my most used module in Drupal.
This post also exists in norwegian: Teleportering i Drupal Teleport is a module that gives you access to a searchfeature that can pop up everywhere on the website and give you a dynamic search for every node, menupoint, adminstrative task and so one.
As default the shortcut for this function is CTRL+SHIFT+T, but it can be wise to change it to something else, for example CTRL+SHIFT+Z because the T adds teaserbreak when you are in the node add forms.
Teleport is available for both 6.x and 5.x.
